Recipe of Carrot’s Haluwa

Hello and Namaskar!!

Today I am sharing the recipe of Carrot Haluwa. The recipe I am sharing here is so simple and less ingredients consuming.

Carrot is believed to be the healthiest vegetables. This orange crunchy, juicy and slightly sweet vegetable can be consumed either raw or cooked. It has many health benefits since it contains nutrients such as Vitamin, potassium, fiber, antioxidant beta-carotene etc.

Here are the List of Required Ingredients:

1. Carrot (गाँजर )-800gm

2. Chopped Cashew Nuts and Almond (काटेको काजु र देशी बदाम)-50gm

3. Green Cardamom (सुकमेल )-4pcs

4. Sugar (चीनी)-2tbsp

5. Milk (दुध )-300ml

6. Ghee/Butter (घ्यु )-2tbsp

Instructions:

1. Grate carrot. While grating it, I generally avoid inner portion of carrot since it takes longer time to cook. You can use that inner portion for salad.

2. Heat up the Pan and add 2 tbsp Ghee or butter. After Ghee melts, add crushed green cardamom and grated carrot. Cook for 5-6 minutes in medium flame. Make sure you stir frequently in between.

3. Add 2 tbsp suger (You can use as per your taste). Mix them well and cook 15 minutes in Low flame. Stir frequently in between.

4. If you notice no moisture left there, add Milk. Mix them well and cook for 3 minutes in medium flame.

5. After cooking for 3 minutes, add chopped cashew nuts and Almonds. Mix well and cook for not more thant a minute.

6. Gajar’s Halwa-A sweet treat from carrot is ready. Now you can serve it and Enjoy.

पकाउने विधी:(In Nepali)

१.गाँजरर्लाई राम्रोसंग पखालेर कोरेसोमा कोर्नु होला , म चाहिं यसको हलवा बनाउदा भित्रि भाग प्रयोग गर्दिन , हजुरहरु प्रयोग गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ तर पाक्न अलिक समय लाग्छ , त्यो भित्रि भाग सलादको रुपमा प्रयोग गर्न सक्नु हुन्छ

२.अब चुलोमा एउटा प्यान बसालेर २ चम्चा घ्यु हाल्नु होला , घ्यु पग्लिएपछी सुकुमेललाई थिचेर हाल्नुहोला , अनि कोरेर राखेको गाँजर पनि हाल्नुहोला , यसलाई कम्तिमा ५ मिनेट जति medium आगोमा पकाउनु होला

३.५ मिनेट पकाएपछी २ चम्चा चिनी हालिदिनुहोला , यसलाई राम्रो संग चलाउनु र १५ मिनेट जति बेला-बेलामा चलाउँदै पकाउनु होला

४.१५ मिनेट पकाएपछि ३००ml जति दुध हालिदिनुहोला र ३ मिनेट जति चलाएर पकाउनु होला

५.अब त्यसमा काटेर राखेको काजु र बदाम पनि हालेर राम्रो संग चलाउनु र १ मिनेट जति पकाउनु होला

६.गाँजरको हलुवा ready भयो अब आफ्नो family संग बसेर enjoy गर्न सक्नु हुन्छ
